Meet the people with the world's weirdest records

They are the world's weirdest and wildest, largest, smallest, squarest and roundest - and among the latest wacky wonders to find a place in the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records.

In the world of human endeavour, the Guinness collection features student Chanel Tapper (pictured), 21, from California, whose 3.8in tongue is the longest on the planet (for a human female).

Christine Walton  has the world's longest nails at 10ft 2in on her left hand and 9ft 7in on the right 

Record breaker: Aevin Dugas (above) has the world's largest Afro, measuring 4ft 4in all the way around

Most pots made in an hour: Mark Byles, of Kent, managed 150
